The lineage as Chaim Dov gave it

The words below are preserved as primary family testimony. Spellings and phrasing are left as received. The structured tree that follows normalizes the relationships only for readability.

My name is Chaim Dov Sorotzkin the son of Rabbi Dr. Bentzion Sorotzkin son of Harav Eliezer Sorotzkin the son Of Hagaon Rav Zalman Sorotzkin of Lutzk so of Rav Bentzion Sorotzkin or Zakirena or zachrena etc son if Rav Yechezkel. My father is married to Faiga Miriam nee Rudensky daughter of Rav Avrohom son of Rav Aryeh Leib son of Rav Yochonon Rudensky. My grandfather Rav Eliezer Sorotzkin was married to Chasya (later they added the name Hadassa as a first name) bloch the daughter of Rav Eliyahu Meir Bloch son of Rav Yosef Yehuda Leib Bloch son of Rav Mordechai Bloch. Rav Eliyahu Meir Bloch was married (before the world war 2) to Rivka Kaplan (my grandmother was the oldest child and only her and her father survived the war). Rav Yosef Yehuda Leib Bloch was a son in law to Rav Eliezer Gordon the son of Rav Avrohom Shmuel Gordon.

Also Rav Zalman Sorotzkin of Lutzk was the youngest son in law of Rav Eliezer Gordon. (He Eliezer Gordon had another son in Rav Yitzchok Eizek Hershovitz). So my grandfather Rav Eliezer Sorotzkin married his first cousins daughter achasay Bloch. (As a side note his younger brother Rav Boruch Sorotzkin married another first cousins daughter Rochel Bloch the daughter of the last Telshe Rav Harav Avrohom Yitzchok Bloch). Please piece all this together and save the info.

Later clarification from Chaim Dov

Rivka Kaplan and Nechama

Rivka Kaplan was Rav Eliyahu Meir Bloch’s wife before the war. Nechama was his second wife after the war. Their children were Rav Yosef Zalman and Miriam, who married Rav Dovid Barkin, a teacher at Telshe in Cleveland.

A double Gordon descent

Rav Eliezer Gordon is an ancestor through two branches

Through Rav Zalman Sorotzkin’s marriage and through Rav Yosef Yehuda Leib Bloch’s marriage, the Gordon family enters the direct family tree twice. This is family testimony from Chaim Dov and should be paired with civil, rabbinic or archival records as they are found.
